GOLD Written language is designed to build the skills of writing with simplicity and elegance. Students are shown how to create text that is::

  •          Logically organised, well structured and coherent
  •          Presents a comprehensive response to the topic
  • ·        Presents ideas so that they are clear for the reader
  • ·        Sensitive to a variety of audiences
  •          Technically accurate
Each lesson explicitly teaches a key writing skill. Demonstration Materials assist in teaching each skill. Student Workbooks provide opportunities to practise each skill. Creative writing topics provide opportunities for students to exercise their imaginations while practising the skills of good writing.

Suitable for: Secondary students. The skills in the secondary program correspond to the writing skills sequence in the primary program. However, some aspects are changed to be age appropriate. All students should begin with Book 1. Book 1 is suitable for Year 7 onward.
