GOLD Oral Language
Research shows that oral language provides the foundation for all literacy. There is a strong relationship between infants’ exposure to language and their later intellectual development and achievement.
Vocabulary Activity Cards are designed to develop a foundation for young children’s vocabulary. There are a total of 200 illustrations representing frequently used words. Cards are organised into 5 packs each containing 20 cards. Cards are suitable to introduce vocabulary to:
Children 3-5 years of age
Children from disadvantaged backgrounds with limited language experience
Children with delayed speech and language
Children with intellectual disabilities
Persons from Non - English speaking backgrounds
Vocabulary Bingo Cards can be used as a game to practise vocabulary that has been introduced using Vocabulary Activity Cards. They ensure that knowledge of basic vocabulary is consolidated.
